Brisbane Olympics - Infrastructure Boom
Brisbane Olympic Games - Infrastructure Boom
By Amelia Micallef
On the 23rd
of July 2032, more than 10,000 athletes are expected to arrive in Brisbane for
the Olympics and Paralympic games. As Queensland prepares for this, we are
expected to undergo a huge infrastructure boom. From Athlete Villages to major transport upgrades, the scale of
development is unprecedented and so is the opportunity for the workforce.
The Queensland Government’s 2032 Delivery Plan includes:
- New and upgraded venues across SEQ and regional areas
- Athlete Villages in Brisbane, Gold Coast, and Sunshine Coast
- Long-term legacy projects in housing, transport, and community infrastructure
These projects are certain to put Brisbane on the map,
boosting revenue, tourism and liveability. With better venues, new accommodation,
and more efficient transportation, this is the largest infrastructure
investment in Queensland’s history!
What Does This Mean for Job Seekers?
These projects are already driving demand for skilled labour across multiple sectors:
- Tradespeople and machine operators
- Site managers and safety officers
- Logistics, admin, and support staff
- And many more
If this sounds like you, take this opportunity to become a part of Queensland’s legacy!
